Will Armitage

Will started work as early as he could and learned the trade fast in high-pressure environments, including event construction for the London 2012 Olympic Games. That appetite for delivery under pressure still underpins how he works.

He holds a Business Management degree from Newcastle University and built experience across the construction and property sectors in the UK and Germany before moving to New Zealand in 2019. He came into project management through the Wellington City Council property team, joined RCP in 2020 and now leads its Wellington office.

Much of his work is in civic and cultural redevelopment, where seismic strengthening, heritage adaptation and complex construction meet. He was part of the RCP team on the $201 million redevelopment of Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui, Wellington Central Library. The project reopened in 2026 and won Project Management Team of the Year at the RICS New Zealand Awards.
