Mark Pearson

Mark has broad experience across multiple sectors and enjoys the challenge of live environments, the vertical space especially, where he still loves watching a project come off the paper and out of the ground. He joined RCP in 2005 straight from university, came up through the ranks, and now pays it forward, nurturing the younger team on the principle of learning by doing.

For Mark, good delivery comes down to collaboration and getting everyone working to the same goals. He sits on RCP's Health and Safety committee, helping the team give sound advice to clients and contractors, and cares just as much about wellbeing, keeping a check on the pulse of the shop floor. He starts every project with the brief and what the client needs, and as he puts it, if every design were buildable and every programme deadline-free, RCP probably wouldn't have a job.

He sees the economics of construction as the biggest challenge clients face right now, and points to RCP's wealth of data as the way to test the feasibility of any concept.
