Dawn Lynn

Dawn was a building surveyor when she got her first real taste of project management, on what turned out to be her last job in Scotland. She liked the delivery side enough to change track, and in 2013 moved to New Zealand and straight into RCP's Christchurch office.

What she has become known for is turning combative jobs collaborative. Put her on a project where the parties have dug in, and she will get them back onto the same page and working together rather than against each other.

Collaboration runs through her technical work too. She brought NEC, a contract built on mutual trust and cooperation, from Scotland and helped set it up on the Arts Centre restoration, a first for New Zealand. She likes to get the value management done early and find where the biggest risks sit before they bite.

In 2021 she moved to Nelson to help build RCP's presence in the region, and has since led some of the upper South Island's more demanding work, including the award-winning Dolomite Point visitor centre on the West Coast.
