Brad McLeigh

Brad leads RCP’s New Plymouth office and much of its delivery across Taranaki. Much of his work has been the region’s more demanding projects, where a difficult site, a tight budget and a watching public all come together.

He came to project management from architectural design, and ran his own practice before bigger, more complex projects drew him to RCP. That restlessness still drives him.

His design grounding shows in how he works, across procurement, contracts and the technical detail, from tender right through to construction. “I like to understand everything about a project. Understanding the details helps foresee challenges and develop solutions early.”

That grounding showed on the redevelopment of Stadium Taranaki, a technically difficult rebuild on poor ground where he used heavy value engineering to protect quality as costs rose.

For all his focus on the detail, Brad puts just as much into the people around a project. He sees genuine relationships with its stakeholders as the foundation everything is built on, and what he values most is a project that becomes a real asset to its community, a stadium sold out for a home final, a hospital with more capacity for surgery.
