Jared Glue

Jared came up through construction before he came to project management, and that shows in how he works. He spent his early career on the contractor's side, running site works alongside live, operating hospitals, from façade and roofing to civil packages. Moving client-side to RCP gave him a rare all-round view of a project, someone who reads the design, the procurement and the build with equal fluency.

That combination has made him a genuine health specialist. For much of the past six years he has led RCP's work on the New Dunedin Hospital Outpatient Building, one of the largest health developments the country has taken on, steering the design through to close-out, running the user-group engagement and procurement, and shaping the delivery of its façade with an international specialist contractor. "I find large scale major projects exciting. Typically, the biggest, most intricate projects are in the health sector, so I've sought these out throughout my career because I find them to be the most complex and rewarding."

He now leads RCP's Dunedin office, a role he approaches the way he runs a project, fair, open and steady with the people around him. "It's important that people find me fair and approachable. People have trust in me because I've been able to demonstrate integrity."
