Campbell Jensen

Curiosity drives Campbell. He is drawn to the why and how behind things, and works through a problem by understanding its underlying principles before reaching for solutions. Starting out in urban planning and resource management, he now works at the front end of projects, advising on policy, strategy, funding, feasibility, business cases, capital planning and masterplanning across community regeneration, property, workplace, aviation and infrastructure.

He has held senior roles at Air New Zealand, leading the strategic planning for the airline's global property portfolio and airport infrastructure across 50 airports, and the relocation of its headquarters from the CBD to the airport. Earlier he led the masterplanning and capital planning for Auckland Airport's 1,500-hectare landholding, and in central government led policy advice to Cabinet on Auckland's local governance reform.

His interest in the potential of place traces back to community regeneration work on the "New Deals for Communities" programme in Seven Sisters, London, an early forerunner of the city and regional deals being promoted in New Zealand today, and it continues through his seat on the Auckland Urban Design Panel.
